The Opportunity

Do you have deep expertise and industry currency in rail infrastructure, and ideally in welding or occupational safety—and a passion for helping others build theirs?

At Arc Infrastructure, we’re seeking a ‘superstar’ as an experienced Trainer and Assessor—Specialist to join our Training Delivery team. In this critical role, you’ll design and deliver engaging, safety-focused training to ensure our workforce is confident, competent, and job-ready—every time.

You'll support qualifications including Certificate II and III in Rail Infrastructure and play a key part in maintaining the high standards of our Registered Training Organisation (Arc Infrastructure RTO 52051).

What You’ll Do

Deliver hands-on training in rail infrastructure and ideally occupational safety or welding

Design and facilitate engaging, practical training programs aligned with adult learning principles and national standards.

Assess learner competency in line with role-based and accredited requirements, keeping safety and operational integrity top of mind.

Conduct training needs analysis with stakeholders to identify process improvements.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of training delivery, assessments, and learner progression.

Ensure all training complies with RTO, industry, and legislative requirements.

Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to promote a safety-first, lifelong learning culture across the network.

What You Bring

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (mandatory) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in training and assessment.

Relevant rail and ideally welding or occupational safety qualifications, with 7+ years' experience in a specialised rail infrastructure role

Delivery and assessment experience with Certificate II and III in Rail Infrastructure

Strong knowledge of best practices and practical training in track and ideally welding work or occupational safety.

High level of facilitation, mentoring, coaching, and ability to influence others to drive training outcomes and behaviors.

Confidence using Microsoft Office suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

A calm, adaptable approach to delivering training in real-world environments

Hold a valid ‘C’ class driver’ license.
