Our client is a global leader in packaging and sustainable manufacturing. They have an immediate vacancy at their very modern/automated plant in Sydney's inner west (Smithfield). This is a 7-day shift work role (D/S and N/S).

We are seeking candidates with electrical trade qualifications and experience with PLCs/automation, drives, and continuous process operations.

You will be part of a highly skilled shift-based team of skilled tradespeople and operators working rotating 12-hour shifts across 7 days.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Electrical trade qualifications (apprentice trained)

Strong experience with PLCs

Good mechanical aptitude

Excellent teamwork skills

Well-developed problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills

Knowledge of production systems and continuous improvement

In addition, you may have:

Experience in a high-speed, continuous process, automated manufacturing environment, and

A current forklift license (or experience).

A keen focus on safety is absolutely critical.

This is a great role; it is well paid, there is significant time off (5 weeks' leave), there is great training, overtime is available, and all this in a great and supportive team environment.
