Salary—Total Indicative Remuneration—Classification—MDP2—Medical Practitioner—$105,751 to $171,579 p.a. (includes award salary, superannuation, and any other monetary benefits)
Full-time—Term Contract
As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month Paediatric General Surgery Registrar allocation will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.
About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric General Surgery team as a Paediatric General Surgery Service Registrar, where you will be responsible for:
Rotating through placements to gain wide exposure to emergency, elective, and ambulatory patient care
Contributing to the provision of clinical services for Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) inpatients and outpatients
Demonstrating a commitment to clinical teaching
Participating in associated research projects
Providing paediatric surgery services to Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) under Consultant supervision as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS), or equivalent,
Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
Broad knowledge in the chosen field of surgery
Understanding both the rights and responsibilities of patients and their families.
Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting.
Communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
