We're seeking a Contract B2B Account Manager to take on the commercial leadership of wholesale accounts, driving sales growth, product expansion, and deeper brand presence. This role works closely with the founder and sales support team to lead the full B2B cycle—from buyer pitch to production delivery.
About the Role
This is a hybrid contract role (3–4 days/week), perfect for someone who is switched-on, reliable, commercially sharp, and eager to grow something meaningful. You'll manage key retail and trade accounts, pitch new product opportunities, liaise with suppliers to ensure timely production, and uncover smart ways to increase both sales and brand impact.
You'll need to be responsive, resourceful, and results-driven—confident working independently, while also collaborating across the team to keep things moving. If successful, this role may convert to a full-time position with commission incentives tied to performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow B2B wholesale accounts, building strong relationships and identifying reorder/cross-sell opportunities
Liaise with suppliers to manage product costing and timelines and ensure timely production and delivery
Pitch new products and category opportunities, supported by a strong understanding of buyer needs and market trends
Collaborate with sales support to ensure accurate order entry, tracking, compliance, and documentation
Coordinate internally with founder, marketing, and ops teams to deliver a seamless account experience
Spot and act on new business opportunities that drive sales, impact, and long-term partnerships
Prepare buyer-ready decks, pricing files, and reporting to track growth, targets, and performance
Champion the brand with confidence, clarity, and a strong eye for storytelling and positioning
Who You Are
3–6 years of B2B sales/account management in homewares, interiors, lifestyle, or consumer goods
Experienced working with retailers or trade accounts; confident navigating PO cycles, cost margins, lead times
Switched-on and goal-driven—you take initiative, follow through fast, and hit the ground running
Detail-oriented with an ability to zoom out—you can manage day-to-day execution while spotting growth angles
Responsive, dependable, and commercially curious, with a love for fresh ideas and practical solutions
Based in Sydney, happy to work 2 days in-office per week for samples, team meetings, planning, and founder syncs
Aligned with Mordea's design-led ethos and excited to build something with heart and ambition
Proven track record of achieving substantial annual B2B sales targets
Role Structure
Contract Basis: 3–4 days/week (24–32 hours)
Hybrid Working: 2 in-office days per week (Sydney)
Pro-rata Salary: $85,000–$90,000 per annum
Commission: Performance-based structure tied to account growth and category expansion
Pathway: Potential to move into full-time employment with increased scope and incentives
