We’re on the hunt for a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Officer to join our Property and Facilities team at UnitingSA. Under the direction of the Aged Care Maintenance Manager, assist in ensuring that the agreed standard of service delivery on day-to-day reactive maintenance and planned and cyclical maintenance is applied throughout UnitingSA’s properties.

What the role involves:

Maintain proper scheduling of assigned duties and obtain materials to perform cost-effective maintenance and repair activity.

Provide prompt responses to requests for maintenance services for day-to-day and long-term maintenance.

Coordinate with the Aged Care Maintenance Manager to schedule necessary services to required standards and in a timely manner.

Ensure UnitingSA property is maintained to a high standard, with safety as a prime consideration while meeting with the building codes of Australian safety standards and working within budgetary constraints.

Prioritize work schedules to ensure timely follow-up of all job requests.

Maintain proper documentation of all assigned maintenance policies, procedures, and schematics.

What you’ll bring:

Relevant trade qualification OR 5+ years’ building and maintenance experience

Confidence reading plans and following instructions

Excellent time management and ability to work independently

Sound communication skills and basic computer literacy

A current SA Driver’s Licence (essential)

Valid DHS Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
