Quickstepz Paediatric Therapy is looking for an Educator/Therapy Assistant/OT Aide to join our close-knit team.

Seeking an applicant with an Educator/OT Aide/Therapy Assistant or a career changer with a diploma/degree in early childhood education to join our team and impact young lives. In order to develop integrated, all-encompassing treatment plans, you will work with our occupational therapist to plan sessions and work with a high level of independence. Your main responsibility will be to support our clients during their therapy journey through early development by delivering therapy activities that are adapted to their individual needs and keeping track of their progress. You will be supported to help children meet their learning and development goals and be guided in your own learning and career development. Best of all, you will be a key part of a child’s early intervention journey, involved in supporting the child and their families through the most important period of their lives.

Casual position (full-time work available). It may be possible to take on two people and build both persons up to full-time hours.

Role of an OT Aide/Therapy Assistant, Deliver high-quality, individualised services adhering to therapy plans provided by therapists. Monitor the progress towards client goals. Research and recommend tasks and activities based on clients’ developmental stage/abilities, Engage family members and caregivers in clients’ programs. Additional studies in disability, special education, or allied health are desirable. Minimum 8-10 years teaching experience (please do not apply if you do not fit this criteria), Excellent organisation and time management skills, Exemplary communication skills, A compassionate and resilient personality, Proficient written skills, Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and utilise evidence-based practice, Professional, warm and empathetic approach to clients, Willingness to learn, grow, and provide excellent services to children within a team environment, This role is in the Hills District and involves travel to and from the following suburbs: Castle Hill, Kellyville, Schofields, Box Hill, Glenwood, Riverwood, Marsden Park, West Pennant Hills, Dural, Richmond, Oakville, Windsor, and other local suburbs. You will not be asked to travel to all of these areas but will be given suburbs that are within a certain proximity to your home. It is important that you share what suburb you live in/will be travelling from/to each day. Availability on a Saturday is ideal.
