Key and Stone Property is a locally owned business that forms part of a group of companies with over 70 years of experience in the property and construction industry. With a strong foundation built over many years, in 2023 the launch of our real estate agency was a natural step in continuing that legacy. We offer services in the commercial and residential sectors, as well as management of short-term accommodation. As we grow, we’re now looking for someone to join our team and be part of this exciting next chapter.
About the role
This part-time position offers 22.5 hours per week with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the business expands. You'll play a key role in managing the agency’s trust accounting and financial administration while supporting day-to-day operations.
Your new role
As the Finance and Administration Manager, you will be a key contributor to the success of the business, leading financial operations and identifying opportunities to enhance systems and processes. The role includes the following:
Basic accounting tasks using Xero for five companies: bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation, ensure timely lodgement of BAS and IAS
Liaise with external accountants, clients and suppliers
Manage trust account and oversee accounts receivable/accounts payable: payment and issuing of invoices, mid-month and endof-month payment runs, bank reconciliation, arrears management
Manage property transactions (Sales and leasing).
Provide assistance to the business manager, including but not limited to contract and lease administration, maintenance management, contractor management compliance, key management
General office administration and operational support
What you’ll need to succeed
At least two years experience in a similar role (preferred)
A degree in accounting, commerce, or a related field (preferred)
Experience in the real estate industry and trust accounting is highly desirable but not essential
Experience with Xero and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail, excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines

A pro rata salary based on a Full Time Equivalent (FTE) salary of $75,000 per annum plus superannuation.
This is a 12-month contract for 22.5 hours per week, or .6 FTE. These hours can be structured across four days for the right candidate.
