Wynnum Golf Club is a welcoming and community-focused venue located on Brisbane’s Bayside. With a busy Bistro, Bar, Gaming Lounge, and Function Centre, we cater to a variety of members and guests – from casual lunches to large weddings and corporate golf days.

We’re on the lookout for a reliable and motivated Casual Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role with flexible hours, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen and enjoys variety in their week.

About the Role:

As a Casual Chef, you’ll assist with food preparation and service during both day-to-day trade and events. You’ll work under the guidance of our Senior Chef and be expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality and presentation.

Duties include:

Cooking and food prep across a variety of menus

Supporting smooth kitchen service during busy periods

Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards

Assisting with cleaning and end-of-service procedures

Working as part of a close-knit, friendly team

What We’re Looking For:

Previous kitchen experience in a bistro or functions setting

Cert III in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential)

Reliable, flexible and a strong team player

Available to work across weekends and evenings

Calm under pressure and committed to quality

Award Level:

Registered and Licensed Clubs Award – commensurate with experience
