We’re on the lookout for a Maintenance Marvel who will help co-create a safe, functional, and inspiring space for young people to grow, explore, and make a difference in the world. This is no ordinary “school handyman” role. You’ll be a key community builder, bringing practical skills and a can-do spirit to every task.
What You Might Bring:
Solid skills across general trades—carpentry, plumbing, painting, and all-round handy wizardry. Confidence operating a range of tools and outdoor machinery—mowers, whipper snippers, and power tools. A proactive and independent work style, with great time management and initiative. A warm communicator who values connection and collaboration. A can-do attitude and an appreciation for young people’s energy, creativity, and capacity to contribute.
Your Days Might Include:
Keeping our learning hubs, play zones, and outdoor spaces safe, functional, and beautiful. Collaborating with learners during their EDventurous Projects—yes, they may ask for your help building a chicken coop, a go-kart, or a sustainable water system!
Being part of a community-centered learning ecosystem, where everyone shares the work of growing something great. Responding to maintenance needs while also helping to plan and prioritize long-term improvements. Supporting whole-person wellbeing through the spaces and environments we co-create.

No formal teaching qualifications needed. But you'll need:
A Working with Children Check (WWCC). A valid driver’s license. Experience in maintenance and facilities (ideally in community or educational settings). A willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends or off-term periods
