Our team is driving the transformation of banking experiences, and we're looking for a skilled cloud engineer with strong Microsoft Azure expertise to help us deliver and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure solutions.

You'll work with and shape modern tools and DevOps practices to deliver technology that meets the evolving needs of our business and customers.

What you'll be doing

Working in collaboration with all stakeholders across the business and IT to deliver and drive hybrid cloud and infrastructure development and automation and migration through DevOps practices to meet business and IT needs

Maintaining hybrid cloud and infrastructure development and lifecycle standards and patterns supported by quality assurance processes in line with business needs and IBM security and information management requirements

Delivery of projects and changes, and the support of production and non-production environments

Providing support and resolution to incidents and service requests

Participating in a rotating after-hours callout roster to provide timely support and service to a 24/7 retail bank.

What you'll bring

Hold a degree qualification in IT

Current familiarity and experience with core provider services from Azure cloud platform; professional-level certifications desired

An understanding of distributed system design, network architecture and dependency management

It is desirable to have at least 2 years of experience in cloud engineering using infrastructure-as-code, preferably Terraform, configuration management, and continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as Git.

Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate, share knowledge, influence others, and write documents such as presentations and solution designs.
