About the Roles
Role 1: Support Worker (Female) -
Casual Role | Boondall, North Brisbane |
Part-Time Casual: up to 20 hrs per week and likely to increase. Northside
Garima Connect is seeking a compassionate female Support Worker to join our team in North Brisbane. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, and we are committed to providing a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
Your Role Will Include
Supporting clients with day-to-day needs such as personal care, light cleaning, and meal preparation.
Accompanying clients to appointments, community events, and family or cultural gatherings
Offering emotional support, social connection, and genuine companionship
Working closely with the clients’ family, and community members to maintain a safe home and community environment
Keeping accurate client records and following all work, health and safety policies and procedures
Practicing respect for cultural protocols, identity, and community connections in every aspect of care
We Are Looking For
Must have previous experience with Dementia. Nursing experience desired. Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent
An understanding of or lived experience with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures and community dynamics
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Role 2: Support Worker (multiple roles) -
Casual Role | South Brisbane - Ipswich
Part-Time Casual: up to 30 hrs per week.
Your Role Will Include
Supporting clients with day-to-day needs such as, light cleaning, community access, transport and support to sports training.
Accompanying clients to appointments, community events, and family or cultural gatherings
Keeping accurate client records and following all health, safety, and cultural safety guidelines
Practicing respect for cultural protocols, identity, and community connections in every aspect of care
We Are Looking For
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent or willing to obtain.
An understanding of or lived experience with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures and community dynamics
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
A current Bluecard and NDIS Worker Screening card.
