The Team:
LGH Radiology is a growing department full of proactive and enthusiastic staff. A dedicated and collaborative management, education, and quality team (including preceptors) ensures a high level of participation in the future direction of the department, both educationally and operationally. LGH radiology regularly has students from CSU, RMIT, and Deakin universities, inclusive of 4th-year positions.
The LGH radiology department has an annual turnover of over 70,000 examinations and is staffed 24/7 with a mix of shift work and on-call. Our equipment is all early to midlife and constantly being updated; we recently acquired 2 new CT scanners and 5 new ultrasound units.
The Role:
The Specialist Radiographer (Medical Imaging Practitioner) is responsible for performing basic and advanced diagnostic imaging, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), and/or Angiography radiographic imaging examinations, procedures, and associated administrative tasks. This role has an emphasis on MRI, with a view to extend operating hours.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day worker position (with on-call), working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our employer's 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
The salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Salary Packaging:

Allowances:
Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 are subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
A market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is applicable to this role.

Eligibility:

Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
Licenced to practice under Tasmanian Radiation Protection Act 2005 and the Radiation Protection Regulations 2016
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Postgraduate study in advanced medical imaging or another relevant major
Professional development in areas relevant to the role
