We are a growing practice specializing in dermatology services (medical, surgical, and cosmetic), with an open and friendly team of staff who enjoy and strive to deliver the best quality medical services with compassion and consideration for our patients' needs. We are looking for a receptionist who will share our visions and project these values and who has an interest in the growth/expansion of the role over time as our business grows. It is preferable for you to have some experience with dermatology services or specialist services reception work.

This is a part-time position requiring Mondays to Fridays from 7:30am to 5pm and Fridays from 8:30am to 4pm, which can be flexible, arranged around each team member.

If you do have enrolled nursing experience, this will be viewed favorably, as there is an opportunity to upskill in clinical dermatology (medical, surgical, and aesthetics).

This is a dynamic and varied role and will include:

Managing multiple Doctors' Calendars, including updating of regular and new lists, annual leave and conference coverage and other appointments as necessary

Obtain surgical lists and input into software accordingly

Preparation of Informed Financial Consent (IFC) / Quotes to all patients

Provide verbal Quotes to both patients and/or Surgeons' rooms as requested.

Constant liaising with both anesthetists' and Surgeons' rooms

The office uses Xestro, which is a specific medical software package. It greatly streamlines the above tasks, and any prior experience with this software will be viewed favorably.

You would ideally have a sound knowledge of health funds and Medicare and their respective processes.

A minimum of 1 year's experience in medical reception or specialist practice administration is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel)

A strong understanding of medical terminology would be preferred
