About the Role:

WorkPac is seeking an experienced mine controller to join our leading mining client for a casual position for an immediate start. This position role will have 12.5-hour shifts, supporting a 24/7 operation via a remote operations center. Successful candidates will be required to work a rotating roster including day, night, weekend, and public holiday work, following a potential roster pattern of 5/5/4—5 days on, 5 days off, 4 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days/3 nights, and 4 days off.

What you will be doing

You will be tasked with monitoring and managing mining equipment from a central control room, coordinating haulage, responding to system alerts and operational issues, maintaining communication with on-site personnel, ensuring production targets, and using specialized software and control systems remotely.

Your duties will also include:

Strong commitment to safety

Operation of fleet management systems with a range of multiple fleet types and targets

Engage with key stakeholders to enhance daily, weekly and monthly targets and strategies

Effective administration and information collating

Comply with business fatigue management and drug and alcohol policies.

What You Will Need

Minimum 5 years of experience in a mine operations control room environment, or similar exposure in Fleet or Logistics Environments, or high-volume operational environments (Logistics, warehousing, or aviation).

Fleet Management System experience is advantageous

Understanding of service delivery and value chain impacts

Ability to multitask and identify risks

Efficient activation of emergency response and coordination or other high-pressure critical tasks.

Continuous improvement and collaborative mindset

Hold a current driver's license and have reliable transport

Live within 45 minutes of the Brisbane CBD location
