ROLE OVERVIEW
We're seeking a skilled software tester to support the delivery of multiple projects introducing new applications, data transfer solutions, and migration activities from legacy platforms. These initiatives are critical to a sensitive operational environment and will involve significant system and process change. You'll play a key role in ensuring that all solutions are thoroughly validated, reliable, and fit for purpose before being deployed into production.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Review and analyze project requirements and technical documentation to fully understand expected system behavior.
Design detailed test strategies, including the creation of test scenarios, cases, and data sets to validate both functional and non-functional aspects.
Carry out manual and automated test execution, capturing results, and highlighting issues or inconsistencies.
Log and track defects, providing clear reproduction steps, severity assessment, and prioritization for resolution.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues and improve overall product quality.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of test activities, results, and defect reports.
Conduct regression testing to ensure that changes or enhancements do not impact existing functionality.
Apply industry standards and frameworks (such as SFIA v9) to guide quality assurance practices.
MORE ABOUT YOU
Strong background in software testing, with proven experience across functional and non-functional testing practices.
Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing tools.
Excellent defect management and reporting skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical issues.
Familiarity with regression testing methodologies and practices.
Strong collaboration skills; able to work effectively within cross-functional project teams.
Exceptional attention to detail, documentation skills, and a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
Knowledge of structured testing frameworks and industry standards (e.g., SFIA v9) will be highly regarded.
