As a result of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced accountant to join their team in Brisbane in a newly created role. This position will be instrumental in supporting the company's expanding operations.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will play a crucial part in maintaining financial transparency and promoting integrity within the group finance team. With a focus on month-end processing, quarterly/year-end reporting, and accounts receivable, the role offers variety and the chance to contribute to the broader success of the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing month-end processes such as prepayments, accruals, provisions, asset reconciliations, and foreign currency journal entries.

Assisting with quarterly and annual audit schedules, sample responses, and financial reporting for the board.

Ensuring compliance with BAS preparation and reconciliations.

Managing accounts receivable, including database maintenance, invoicing, aged receivables follow-up, and reconciliation of deferred revenue.

Supporting group-wide cash flow forecasting and other ad hoc finance-related tasks.

About You

You thrive in a dynamic environment, are highly detail-oriented, and demonstrate excellent time management. You possess strong analytical abilities and have the adaptability to work across multiple accounting systems. Your interpersonal skills enable you to communicate effectively across teams while upholding accuracy in your work.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; CPA or CA qualifications are highly regarded (or progressing).

Proven experience in month-end reconciliations and financial reporting.

Experience with BAS preparation and compliance.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of accounting principles.

Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work across different systems.
