Senior reception - GP Practice

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused medical receptionist to join our dedicated team at Wellcare Medical Centre Kingston in Kingston, QLD. This is an FT/PT role that will see you play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy medical practice.

What youll be doing

Answering incoming calls and handling patient enquiries and requests in a professional and compassionate manner

Scanning and faxing and familiarity with Bulk scanning in Best Practice software

Assisting with the administrative duties of the practice, including processing payments, ordering supplies, and providing general office support

Ensuring a high level of customer service and contributing to a positive patient experience and teamworkwith other clinical members of the team.

Processing and submission of Medicare batches and dealing with rejection

Processing and invoicing work cover patients

Clearing Debtor lists and all unpaid invoices

Effective booking of Doctors and Allied Health

Actioning with recalls and reminders

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist in GP setting and familiarity with Best Practice software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals in a warm and professional manner

Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure

Proficient in using Best Practice software and general office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)

A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding patient privacy

Opportunity to be promoted to 2IC for dedicated and hard-working staff
