Civmec is currently seeking experienced welders and special class welders to join our construction division working on a 2:1 DIDO roster.

This is a great opportunity to join our team and be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering both civil and SMP packages on a long-term project.

The Role

Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes

Perform the welding of steel components in all positions

Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and preheat in accordance with applicable weld procedures

Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW

Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components

Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required

About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:

Australian-recognized Trade Certificate

Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate

Current high-risk elevating work platform license and VOC

Current Driver's License

Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)

Previous construction experience

Ability to attend and pass a 3G/4G/6G MMAW, MIG, SAW, and FCAW Inner-shield Weld Test before mobilisation

Experience in Tank Welding
