Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital

What you'll be doing

As a member of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Social Work team, you will undertake clinical interventions with hospital patients, including psychosocial assessments, counselling, advocacy, case management, and resource education.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.

Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers, and families requiring assessment, counselling, crisis management, case management, advocacy, intervention, appropriate referral, and discharge planning.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload demands, meet deadlines, and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
