Out for Australia (OFA) is a national charity empowering LGBTQIA+ young people in Australia to thrive and be their authentic selves at work. Through our LGBTQIA+ mentoring program — the largest in the country — and other community initiatives, we connect, support, and inspire the next generation of LGBTQIA+ leaders.

We are seeking a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer to grow our individual giving, workplace giving, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events. Working 100% remotely with a dedicated team of volunteers, this is a pivotal role in building the resources that enable OFA to sustain and expand our programs nationally.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll:

Build, secure, and manage corporate partnerships and sponsorships

Develop and grow individual giving and workplace giving programs

Design and deliver fundraising events, and identify opportunities to raise funds and profile through external events

Cultivate and maintain strong donor and partner relationships to ensure engagement and renewal

Work with OFA’s program and communications teams to amplify and align fundraising initiatives with our mission

About you

You’re passionate about making a difference and thrive in building relationships and driving results. You’ll bring:

Experience in fundraising, partnerships, or event fundraising (ideally in the not-for-profit sector)

A track record of securing individual gifts, workplace giving, or corporate sponsorships

Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

A genuine commitment to supporting LGBTQIA+ young people

Bonus points if you’re familiar with donor management systems, have delivered fundraising events, or have knowledge of corporate social responsibility and giving trends

Working Hours: approx. 2 days per week/hours can be split across the working week

Remuneration: $20,000 per annum + 12% superannuation + Performance based bonus

Location: Remote / Work from Home

Reports to: CEO
