Afternoon shift Supervisor

Full Time Role

D'Orsogna Ltd has been established for over 75 years and is a recognised market leader manufacturing quality continental gourmet meats, hams, bacon and smallgoods.

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced hands on Afternoon shift Supervisor to oversee and work collaboratively with the warehouse team.

Located at our head office in Palmyra, Western Australia

This position will report to the Senior Planning/Logistics Manager and the position will entail supporting direct manager to meet the following requirements;

Assist with day to day activities in the Department including Occupational Safety and Health, personnel, equipment, materials, quality, productivity and hygiene.

Some forklift driving so ideal candidate has a current LF License

General warehouse duties

Supervision of warehouse personnel

Assist with stock control

Monitor truck loading activities

Other activities as directed that you have the skills and training to perform.

In addition will need to possess the following attributes:-

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the Company.

Ability to manage and problem solve logistics and warehouse issues in a professional manner.

Ability to build and maintain positive working relationship with key stakeholders.

Ability to manage and lead a team effectively to achieve company requirements.

Be flexible in their working hours and days to meet business requirements. This may require weekend work as needed.

Be prepared to help out the team as needed.

Attention to detail to avoid critical errors.

Skills/education

Minimum 2-3 years experience in a just in time (FMCG) environment.

OHandS and Quality Assurance Training is highly desirable.

Warehousing or logistics certification is highly desirable.

Forklift License desirable
