Job Title: Work Permit Receiver (WPR)

Location: Eastern Province Saudi Aramco Project Sites

Reports To: Site HSE Manager / Construction Manager

Job Purpose:

The Work Permit Receiver is responsible for ensuring that all work activities requiring permits (Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space Entry, Electrical Isolation, Excavation, Lifting, etc.) are executed in compliance with Saudi Aramco’s safety standards and procedures. The WPR acts as the primary link between the work crew and the Aramco Permit Issuer/Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply for, obtain, and manage work permits from the Aramco Permit Issuer before starting any job.

Ensure full understanding of the scope of work, associated risks, and safety precautions mentioned in the permit.

Conduct site inspections with the Permit Issuer prior to work commencement.

Communicate permit conditions, hazards, and required control measures to the work crew.

Ensure that all necessary safety equipment, barricades, signage, and fire watch/standby personnel are in place before starting work.

Verify proper implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and method statements related to the permit.

Continuously monitor the job site to ensure compliance with permit conditions.

Stop work immediately if unsafe conditions arise or permit conditions are violated.

Coordinate with HSE officers and supervisors to close out permits after work completion.

Maintain proper records of permits as per Aramco requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or oil and gas projects.

Previous experience on Saudi Aramco projects (mandatory).

Certified and approved by Saudi Aramco as a Work Permit Receiver.

Good knowledge of Aramco’s Safety Management System (GI, SAES, and Work Permit System).

Ability to read and understand method statements, JSA, and risk assessments.

Strong communication skills in English (Arabic knowledge is an advantage).

Safety certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or Aramco Safety Training preferred.

Key Skills:

Strong knowledge of Aramco work permit categories (Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space, Excavation, etc.).

Hazard identification and risk assessment.

Effective coordination between supervisors, HSE, and Aramco representatives.

Proactive safety attitude and ability to stop unsafe work.
