About Us

We are a busy and friendly seafood store known for serving fresh, high-quality fish and freshly prepared seafood meals to our customers. As we establish our food offering, were looking for an experienced and creative Cook/Chef who can help shape and develop our menu — from delicious fish and chips to gourmet seafood burgers and other complementary dishes.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook seafood-based meals, including chowder, risotto, fish and chips, burgers, and other related items.

· Work closely with the management team to create and develop new menu items and recipes that reflect our brand and customer preferences.

· Ensure all dishes are prepared to a high standard of quality, taste, and presentation.

· Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.

· Assist with setting up kitchen operations and processes as we launch.

· Contribute ideas for ingredient sourcing and menu planning.

· Work weekdays only as required by operational schedule.

Requirements

· Proven experience as a cook or chef preferably with seafood, deep fryer or fast food experience.

· Minimum 1-2 years of cooking or chef experience required.

· Passion for developing menus and experimenting with new recipes.

· Ability to work independently and take initiative in a startup environment.

· Strong knowledge of food safety standards.

· Food safety certification required at time of application.

· Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

· Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential.

· Valid Australian work rights required.
