A rare opportunity exists to join a small, bespoke consultancy in the Offshore / Subsea Industry.

Cube Offshore provides engineering services, structural/equipment design and project management services to Subsea Projects, Drilling and Completion Campaigns, Inspection Maintenance and Repair (IMR) and Offshore Construction / Decommissioning Campaigns.

Cube's industry expertise includes (but not limited to):

Structural engineering design, analysis and problem solving

Offshore/Subsea lifting

Decommissioning

Structural/Mechanical equipment design, manufacture and testing

Structural integrity, assessment, inspection and design services

We are looking for a candidate who can solve practical problems, is IT and software savvy, motivated and keen to expand their horizons. You will be joining a small team with a friendly and positive culture in the Perth CBD. You will be required to carry out the following activities and possess the following skills/attributes:

Approx. 1-2yrs industry experience including basic exposure to structural steel calculations, analysis and the use of codes, standards, and quality management systems

IT proficiency and an aptitude for computer analysis / simulations

Experience with CAD, FEA and structural analysis software is preferred

Problem solve, develop concepts, sketch and liaise with draftsperson

Compile reports and other documentation

Work to allotted time and schedule

Liaise effectively with clients and suppliers

Mature, independent, problem solving, self-starter with good communication skills and the ability to manage drafting, sub-contractors and client interfaces.

Offshore / subsea industry is preferred however, mining, maritime and/or commercial industry experience will also be considered for the right candidate.

Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture degree recognised by Engineers Australia is essential

Ability to pass a medical examination for offshore travel

Eligibility to work in Australia is essential

The successful candidate will be well supported and mentored in all aspects of their work and encouraged to develop their skills in a positive environment.

The position is based at Cube Offshore's office in the Perth CBD, WA. Flexible hours and working from home opportunities may exist and periodic site visits required.

The position is available on a staff basis (subject to a 3 month probationary period).

Salary range: 75-90k + super contributions subject to experience.
