Position Details

Location: Southern River, WA

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (flexible arrangements considered)

Salary: 35-40 per hour (depending on experience)

Reports To: Practice Coordinator

Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It!)

Clinical Leadership - Be The Inspiration

Lead and mentor the dental assistant team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Drive clinical operations forward with energy and precision

Champion equipment and inventory management like the pro you are

Be the guardian of sterilization and infection control protocols that exceed AHPRA standards

Quality and Compliance - Set The Standard

Implement and maintain clinical protocols and standard operating procedures

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

Conduct regular audits of infection control practices

Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation

Team Support - Bring Everyone Together

Coordinate clinical staff schedules and workflow management

Provide training and development opportunities for dental assistants

Act as a clinical resource and point of contact for the team

Occasionally support the Practice Coordinator in their absence

Patient Care - Create Smiles (Literally!)

Ensure excellent patient experience across all clinical interactions

Chair-side assistance to dentists

Support patient education and post-treatment care instructions

Are You Our Perfect Match?

Must-Haves (The Deal-Breakers)

Minimum 5 years experience as a dental assistant/nurse

Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a dental or healthcare setting

Current dental assistant certification and First Aid certificate

Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and AHPRA standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to mentor and develop team members

Experience in practice management or clinical coordination

Organizational superpowers and ninja-level time management skills

The confidence to work autonomously and make smart decisions on the fly
