Join our team! Dive into a fun summer job as a casual pool lifeguard! We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible and friendly individuals to keep our swimmers safe this summer!

Over summer Council’s outdoor swimming pools become significant meeting places for the community providing social connection, enhancing swimming skills and water confidence levels. Council is committed to a high quality service for residents and visitors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supervising - Provide active and continuous supervision of the public using the pool facilities;

Educating to Keeping our swimmers safe and enforcing the rules

Inspections - Inspect and ensure that the lifesaving equipment, the facility, and amenities are ready for daily use and are safe for purpose;

What You’ll Need:

A love for the water

A keen eye for safety and be a strong swimmer

Excellent communication skills

Relevant qualifications

This position is casual classified at Grade A Entry Level (Casual) under Council’s salary structure at 38.4060 p/h including 25% casual loading, plus 12% statutory superannuation. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023.
