Salary range: 90,832 to 100,071 p.a. (AO4)

4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to join the Townsville Hospital and Health Service's First Nations Patient Journey Hub. This new service will facilitate a culturally safe and responsive health care journey for First Nations patients, supporting transitions from Townsville University Hospital to community care pathways.

Delivered through a Nurse Navigator and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workertoled model, the service aims to strengthen partnerships with local and regional General Practitioners, as well as primary and community care networks, to improve outcomes for First Nations patients and deliver effective, integrated care.

The role will support the implementation of this new service by providing high?level administrative and secretarial support to ensure the daily functions of the First Nations Patient Journey Hub run smoothly.

Requirements

Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
