About the Role

We're seeking experienced Painter and Blasters to join a Defence client in Osborne, SA, working on one of South Australia's most significant projects. These are ongoing positions staring ASAP, working up to 40 hour weeks with overtime and weekend work available.The roles involve abrasive blasting, industrial spray painting, and applying protective coatings to vessels, including Collins Class submarines and offshore patrol vessels.

Please note, this is a local role to Adelaide residents, not a FIFO role

Key Responsibilities

• Surface preparation using blasting, power tooling, and chemical cleaning methods.

• Application of protective coatings, including epoxy, polyurethanes, and anti-fouling materials.

• Operating and maintaining blasting pots, airless spray machines, and other equipment.

• Performing grinding, sanding, and polishing tasks as needed.

• Safely working in confined spaces, adhering to OHandS standards, and obtaining necessary permits.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications or experience in painting and or blasting.

• White Card.

• Driver's Licence.

• Confined Spaces ticket (mandatory - Current within 2 years).

• Working at Heights ticket (highly desirable).

• Current National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain within 3 months).

• Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identity Card (or willing to obtain).

• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
