Location: Stirling, Western Australia

Type: 12-month Parental Leave Cover to Full Time

Start Date: First or second week of January 2026

You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Stirling’s city centre, working on road safety and road improvement projects that drive community growth and improvement. This is a unique opportunity to apply your specialised traffic engineering knowledge in a dynamic, supportive team, while covering parental leave for 12 months.

What You’ll Be Doing

Investigate and design traffic engineering solutions

Deliver strategic projects for city centre growth

Respond to customer service requests with expertise

Prepare and issue construction plans using AutoCAD

Assess parking and line marking requests

Liaise with stakeholders and community groups

Prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities

Maintain project data and documentation

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a technical officer with a passion for strategic traffic engineering. You’ll ideally bring:

Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Advanced AutoCAD and design software skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsive and adaptive customer service approach

Experience in municipal infrastructure design

Strong analytical and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Valid White Card and Driver’s Licence
