With a valued staff member embarking on parental leave, a maternity cover position is on offer for a bright, conscientious Finance Officer to join their accounts team and support the broader national team.
Reporting to several Directors and the Finance Manager, you’ll be assisting and providing support in accounts payable, payroll administration, project administration, accounts receivable and administration requirements of the practice. This includes fortnightly EFT cycles, payroll processing, overseas payments and debt collection.
Key Skills and Attributes:
5+ years of finance, accounts payable/receivable experience
Background within Architecture/Design/Construction industry preferred
Proficient on Deltek Vision online accounting system
Detail oriented, conscientious and logical with strong problem solving skills
Responsibilities will be broadly based and will include:
Accounts Payable
Entry of all supplier and sub-consultant invoices, credit card statements, employee expense claim forms
Supplier set-up and maintenance, ABN checks, bank verification steps
Generate EFT cycles and corresponding reports
Creditor and petty cash reconciliation, prepare cheques when necessary
Review supplier agreements and clear suspense and prepaid accounts
Assist admin team with Cabcharge and asset acquisition data entry
Payroll Administration
Timesheet data entry, approval and posting on a weekly basis
Set up and maintaining personal files
Review new starter contracts, leave forms, entitlements within Aurion
Cross check Deltek Vision timesheets with Aurion each month
Handle employee payroll enquiries
Project Administration
Maintain project files - signed copies of contract, fee letters, correspondence
Issue job numbers for new projects and maintain in Deltek Vision
Produce costing and information reports and weekly reports for transport projects
Generate project invoicing reconciliations for clients and backup monthly client invoicing
Accounts Receivable (Back-up when required)
Debtor review, follow-up and collection
Maintain client AR information in Deltek Vision
Prepare monthly invoices, including overseas invoices in AUD and foreign currency
Prepare monthly statements, reconcile sub-consultant spreadsheet
Review debtors provision and advise net amounts (quarterly)
Position offered for a 14-month contract period, starting in January 2026 until at least April 2027, with the possibility of extension for the right person.
Salary expectations in the range of 75,000-85,000 plus Superannuation, dependent on your skills and depth of experience.
