THE COMPANY

Our client is a successful poultry growing farm based in Anakie and Maryborough, Victoria. They currently have a network of 8 farms, each farm is responsible for raising 400,000 birds using innovative and world leading technologies.

To meet this growing demand, our client requires the addition of multiple Farm Hands to assist the Farm Managers in the day-to-day activities required to maintain optimum living conditions for poultry livestock.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Poultry Farm Hand who is local to the Anakie/Geelong region and looking to build a future within the agricultural sector. This is a great opportunity for someone who is physically fit, enjoys practical work, and wants a secure, ongoing role—not just a short-term job.

You’ll assist the Farm Manager with day-to-day operations to maintain high standards of bird welfare and farm hygiene.

Key duties include:

Rotary hoeing and preparation of shed floors

Washing and cleaning poultry sheds

Following strict biosecurity and animal welfare protocols

General farm and equipment maintenance

Caring for chickens 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking someone who: 

Lives locally to Anakie, Geelong or surrounding areas

Is available to start around the New Year

Has some previous farm, machinery, labouring, or trade-related experience

Is physically fit and willing to learn

Can operate or is confident around machinery (tractors, telehandlers etc. preferred)

Holds a driver’s licence (desirable)

This role will suit someone with a background in farming, construction, maintenance, landscaping, trades, or other practical, hands-on work.

We are not accepting backpackers or temporary visa holders for this position.
