Are you a hands-on WHS professional ready to make a real difference on exciting, high-profile projects? Our client, one of Australia's leading property developers, is known for delivering innovative, design-led developments and is looking for two proactive Work Health and Safety Officers to join their dynamic construction team.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of driving safety across their projects. You'll take the lead in developing, promoting, and implementing WHS and Environmental policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with the Harmonised WHS Act 2012 and other relevant legislation. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and management, you'll help build a strong safety culture and keep every site running safely and smoothly.

The Position

Your key responsibilities as a WHS Officer will include (but are not limited to):

Lead and manage WHS and Environmental policies to meet legal requirements

Keep up-to-date with WHS laws, regulations, and codes of practice

Create, review, and manage Project WHS Management Plans and site safety procedures

Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk checks to ensure safety compliance

Track and report WHS, QA, and Environmental performance to teams and subcontractors

Be the main WHS contact on-site for clients, regulators, and management

Run safety meetings, toolbox talks, and worker consultations

Plan and check emergency procedures, equipment, and drills

Respond to incidents, investigate causes, and put in place corrective actions

Keep WHS records and reports accurate and up-to-date in systems like Laminar Pro

Ensure compliance with SWMS, electrical safety, tagging/lockout, and plant checks

Support injury management, rehabilitation processes and promote a strong, positive safety culture on site

The Person:

Minimum three years' experience as a WHS Officer on-site

Thorough understanding of the WHS Act 2011, regulations, codes of practice, and SafeWork Australia guidelines

Current First Aid certificate and a valid Australian driver's licence

Ability to work safely across operational environments including workshop, office, and construction sites

Confident in conducting site audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and reviewing safety documentation

Strong communication and consultation skills with the ability to build constructive relationships with workers, subcontractors, and management

Excellent organisation, attention to detail, reporting, and record-keeping skills

Commitment to continuous learning and the ability to influence positive safety behaviours to drive a strong safety culture
