Our client is a high profile NSW government department that is dedicated to growing primary industries and supporting regional economic development

Role description:

The Technical Project Manager and Systems Lead Data Analyst will lead a Corporate Workforce Reporting and Automation Project (the People Dashboard Project) on the department's corporate reporting platform, Calumo / MyOutcomes, which includes integration of workforce and Human Resource data from various sources (including SAP)

This involves working with users to formulate system requirements, develop system plans and documentation, review and evaluate existing systems and design and modify systems to meet users' business needs

Responsibilities:

Partner with the workforce data team, Calumo/My Outcomes platform developers, the People team and other stakeholders across the department to understand the business needs and use cases for the development of new reports, workforce dashboard and associated visualisations.

Deliver technical project elements and ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within agreed scope.

Developing, troubleshooting and managing report logic and data accuracy.

Development of technical specifications for documentation, modelling and visualisations for development in Calumo/MyOutcomes

Working with developers to translate specifications for the development of reports

Data analysis and user acceptance testing of new reports/dashboard and document results

Diagnosing data issues and fine tuning data logic

Providing technical content to interpretation guides including caveats, limitations, inclusions / exclusions to build MyOutcomes capability and inform the development of user guides and training materials.

Ensure that business and technology risks are appropriately identified, managed and reported.

Coordination and management of deliverables within the project plan

Skills and Experience:

High level skills in workforce data and business analytics are required

Demonstrated project management experience.

System technical capability and high level skills in data analytics

Demonstrated capability to engage effectively, collaborate with and work with project partners and stakeholders

Ability to navigate disparate source data to gather required metrics for analysis and input into new reports / visualisations 

Adept at solving complex data and technical issues

Good at managing time and conflicting deliverables and ensuring that data analysis is accurate, consistent and timely

Experience in stakeholder engagement and management of technical project elements

Experience in developing technical specifications, modelling and visualisations; data analysis and testing or reported data
