Arc welder (FCAW/MCAW Certified Welders)
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Day, Evening
Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Welder Trade Certification, 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Maintenance/repair, New fabrication
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Industrial, Marine
Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication, Marine repair, Shipbuilding and repair, Structural construction, Cast iron and other metals
Welding Techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG), Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Type of Machine Experience: Spot welding machines, But t or seam resistance welding machines, Gas welding machines, Arc welding machines
Welding Positions: All positions
Materials: Stainless steel, Steel, iron and heavy metals
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications, Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines, Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), Determine weldability of materials, Spray welds, Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Additional Skills: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Mask, Face shield, Welding helmet
