Our client is a mining company based in North Perth seeking an experienced Procurement Officer for their busy office. This role is fast paced and requires an indivdual who can work under pressure.
About the role:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing goods and services to support mining operations. Eensuring value for money, compliance and continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end procurement activities including requisitioning, tendering, evaluation, contracting, and supplier management.
Source materials, equipment, services, and consumables to meet operational and project requirements.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
Conduct supplier evaluations, contract negotiations and price benchmarking.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contracts and governance standards.
Monitor supplier performance, manage disputes and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts and purchase documentation in ERP systems.
Support cost reduction, inventory optimisation and value engineering initiatives.
Ensure ethical sourcing and compliance with safety, sustainability and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills and Experience
Proven experience in procurement, ideally within mining, resources, heavy industry or construction.
Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and contract management skills.
Experience working with ERP systems (Pronto preferred).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organisational capabilties.
