Medical Laboratory Technologist (Registered)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $24.00 to $26.00 Hourly for 35 hours per week, Group Insurance Benefits, Pension Plan Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Work Setting: Private clinical laboratories
Area of Specialization: General medical technology, Hematology
Medical Laboratory Technologist Specific Skills: Conduct chemical analyses of blood, urine and other body fluids
Additional Skills: Supervise other technical and support staff, Train other technical and support staff
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure
Ability to Supervise: 4 people or less
Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use
Other Information: Must be a medical laboratory technologist LICENCED WITH CMLTM. Experienced in Phlebotomy, Hematology, WBC differentials, Urinalysis and computer .
