Martin Stainless Steel specialises in commercial and residential metal fabrication throughout Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong for stainless benches, kitchen range hoods (in fact, full custom kitchens), BBQs, and much more and are currently seeking a Sheet Metal Worker Apprentice to join their Blacktown based facility.

Position Overview:-

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in sheet metal fabrication! As an Apprentice, you will receive comprehensive, hands-on training in all aspects of stainless steel fabrication, working alongside experienced tradespeople. This apprenticeship includes fully supported TAFE training to achieve your trade qualification.

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:-

Assisting with the fabrication of stainless steel products such as benches, range hoods, and custom items

Learning to read and interpret drawings and plans

Operating and maintaining workshop machinery and tools safely

Measuring, cutting, and shaping stainless steel

Welding and finishing techniques

Adhering to all workplace health and safety guidelines

General workshop duties and keeping the work area clean and organised

Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:-

Minimum Year 10 school certificate with above average achievement of Mathematics

Willingness to learn and take direction

Reliability and a strong work ethic

Mechanical aptitude is desirable

Location:- Blacktown

Position Type:- Permanent Full Time, Permanent Residency required
