Gippsland Veterinary Hospital is a long established, progressive mixed practice with a strong reputation for quality medicine and a genuinely supportive team culture. We are seeking an experienced mixed veterinarian who is looking to make a long term move into a well-resourced, stable clinic where high standards of care and team collaboration are genuinely valued.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian wanting to settle into a respected regional practice and build a sustainable, rewarding career. The caseload can be tailored to suit your strengths and interests, whether that is predominantly large animal, companion, equine, or a true mixed role.
About the Practice
Our practice includes our main hospital in Maffra, the Sale Vet Centre, and the purpose-built Gippsland Equine Hospital. This multi-site structure provides variety, clinical depth, and excellent support across disciplines.
The Maffra hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility with four consult rooms, a dedicated dentistry room, advanced imaging including CT, a large surgical theatre and treatment area, plus hydrotherapy and rehabilitation services.
The Sale Vet Centre has recently relocated to new, spacious premises, and the Gippsland Equine Hospital offers purpose-built facilities for both emergency and elective equine surgery.
We service a loyal and diverse client base including progressive dairy and beef producers, as well as a growing population of equine and companion animal owners. With experienced veterinarians and high-quality equipment across all sites, we manage the majority of cases in house and refer very little.
About the Role
This is a mixed veterinary position with genuine flexibility around your caseload, designed to support a long term and sustainable career. You will work alongside experienced and collaborative teams who enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting each other on cases.
Key features of the role include:
A mixed caseload tailored to your experience and interests
Flexible work arrangements to support work life balance
Shared after hours roster with excellent remuneration
Apiam Teletriage support to filter after hours calls
