Our client, a non-corporate Commonwealth entity requires a seasoned ICT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a standardised application development environment, a strategically important initiative to update the departments Developer Workstation Solution (DWS) to meet Essential Eight Maturity Level Two.

Security Clearance

You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to hold an active Baseline security clearance.

Key duties and responsibilities

Identify and actively engage a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders across business areas, leading consultation activities to identify required development tools and applications to be included in the application development environment.

Ensure the solution meets Essential Eight Maturity Level Two requirements and aligns with relevant Information Security Manual controls.

Maintain awareness of cyber security risks associated with development environments and implement mitigation strategies.

Apply knowledge of software development lifecycles, modern development practices and tooling to support secure and efficient development workflows.

Develop and maintain project artifacts, milestones and delivery schedules to meet migration deadlines.

Establish and maintain appropriate project governance arrangements, including regular status reports, briefings, and decision making and escalation pathways for senior stakeholders.

Manage project risks and issues, and dependencies with related ICT, Cyber security and digital programs to ensure coordinated delivery.

Transition to operations activities, including work with operational teams to embed sustainment practices and ensure ongoing compliance with security and policy requirements

To be successful in this role you will require the following:

5+ years Project Management experience in delivery of large and/or complex ICT Project(s) or Programs.

Demonstrated experience with project governance, including planning, financials, reporting, risks and issues, dependency management, etc.

Ability to use, adapt, and work across various delivery methodologies to successfully deliver program outcomes (such as Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

Ability to develop and implement engagement strategies, facilitate open communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, act as a central point of contact, and support effective business decision making through clear and timely information sharing.

Experience with Federal Government procurement processes to successfully engage and manage 3rd party vendors.

Demonstrated ability to engage and manage third party vendors and contracts to ensure successful delivery of requirements.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead several multi-disciplinary teams to effectively deliver results and positively respond to change.

Ability to build and promote program vision and to develop a collaborative team culture.

Experience in developing and presenting Board papers and briefing materials SES audiences.

Demonstrated personal resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities to successfully deliver under pressure within a challenging environment.

Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISM, and Security Maturity requirements will be highly regarded.
