About Us
The Institute for Respiratory Health (Inc) is a not-for-profit medical research institute, carrying out scientific and clinical research into the treatment and management of lung disease, including asthma, allergies, lung cancer, infectious diseases and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Within the Institute sits the ATTAC Program Research Group, which is led by Professor Bruce Robinson. Our Mission is that we bring together world-class researchers to develop new ideas, treatments and better health outcomes for people living with respiratory disease.
About The Role
Working closely with the leaders of the ATTAC Program, Professor Bruce Robinson, Professor Jenette Creaney and Dr Alec Redwood, the Research Administration O?cer plays a key role in maintaining study records, supporting grant applications, tracking research outputs and assessing the dissemination of results. The role also encompasses project coordinator, diary and meeting management, and research documentation.
This position ensures the smooth day-to-day running of a diverse portfolio of local and international research projects. It supports e?ective communication between stakeholders and contributes to the successful management and growth of the team’s research e?orts.

Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the team leaders, including diary and email management.
Maintain up-to-date records on research studies, collaborators and project milestones.
Coordinate meetings and correspondence with internal teams and external partners.
Track upcoming opportunities such as grant calls and conference deadlines.
Assist with preparing and revising multi-author research papers and grant applications.
Coordinate research team meetings and capture notes or action items.
Support production of patient-facing materials and educational content where relevant.
Schedule and coordinate meetings with local and international research collaborators.
Liaise with students, clinicians and partners to support project timelines.
Maintain accurate and organised files and correspondence.
Monitor shared inboxes and ensure timely responses to enquiries.
Selection Criteria
Essential
Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and see projects through to completion.
Excellent attention to detail.
A proactive and self-motivated approach, with compassion for others and a passion for making a difference.
Desirable
Experience in a research or healthcare setting.

0.60 FTE. Fixed Term 6-month contract with the likelihood of extension.
