The role:
We are seeking an experienced mechanic to join our City Services team in Box Hill South. With a strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, this role will work alongside another mechanic and an apprentice, undertaking servicing, repairs and general works on our fleet of plant, equipment and vehicles.
About you:
To be considered for this position you will have:
A formal trade certificate as a diesel or petrol mechanic, combined with recent experience
Problem solving and practical skills for mechanical issues.
Effective communication skills to deal with customers, Council staff, contractors and the general public.
An ability to work as part of team and support team objectives.
A flexible approach and ability to respond to changing work methods, equipment and procedures
