We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and expanding global securitisation and structured finance team based out of our Melbourne office. We advise on all stages of securitisation / structured finance transaction lifecycle to from inception to conclusion (whatever form that may take). Assisting clients with structuring, documentation and execution, operational aspects (including construction of documentation and dealing with unexpected events, consents, modifications or waivers from trustees, conducting consent solicitation exercises with bondholders and buybacks) and, where needed, restructurings, defaults and enforcements and termination.
We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join the team, with a focus on securitisation and structured finance. Working closely with Adele Gray, Brad Robinson and Scott Millar, our specialist teams and offices across our global network, you will advise on all legal, tax and regulatory aspects of a range of transactions, including:
Warehouse facilities across a range of typical and more esoteric asset classes
RMBS/CMBS/ABS term transactions
Liquidity and redemption facilities
Covered bonds
Derivatives, including securitisation swaps
Repackaging arrangements
Asset-backed commercial paper
Whole of loan sales
Early-stage funding
Term debt programs
Requirements
Demonstrated experience working on securitisation and structured finance transactions gained at a reputable national or international law firm or in-house at a leading financial institution
Excellent written, drafting and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail, commitment to quality and good work ethic
Ability to work independently and also as a part of a team with multiple partners within the group
Ability to build and grow a network and assist with business development and marketing initiatives
At least 4+ years post qualification experience
