Central Queensland Oral Health Services strives to provide evidence based dental treatment and promotion to our eligible clientele and to maintain a fair and equitable wait list for the members of our community whilst maintaining a supportive work environment for staff.
Oral Health Services comprise adult clinics, school dental clinics and dental vans based within the geographical boundaries of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services, including Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Emerald, Springsure, Blackwater, Moura, Biloela, Mount Morgan, Woorabinda and Capricornia Correctional Centre.

About the role:
Provide a high standard of oral health care to eligible Oral Health Service consumers through the delivery of Oral Health Therapy or Dental Therapy within individual scope, and to promote oral health at an individual and community level within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The position primarily delivers Oral Health Therapy services to children and adolescents through fixed and/or mobile dental clinics, supporting improved access to oral health care across schools and communities. Depending on the practitioner's qualifications, approved scope of practice, and service demand, the role could also include the provision of care at adult dental clinics.
New graduates can apply for the Early Career Dental Practitioner Program (ECDPP), which offers clinical skill consolidation, specialist clinic rotations, mentoring, peer networking, case discussions, wellbeing workshops, and public sector career planning.
About you:
You hold a degree or diploma in Dental Therapy or Oral Health Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy students in their final year of study are also eligible to apply.
You hold a Radiation Use Licence issued under the Radiation Safety Act 1999, with an appropriate authority.
You are a competent professional capable of working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
You possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and staff.
You are a role model for clinical excellence, providing mentorship and supervision as required.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to 81,110 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between 43.68 to 58.59 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
