As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Account / Business Development Manager to join our expanding Victorian team.
The Opportunity
As our Account / Business Development Manager, you will drive sales growth and represent our brand with passion and expertise. Your role will involve developing strong relationships, generating new business, and managing key accounts. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, builders, and consultants to deliver the best solutions to meet their needs, while supporting the success of our products across Victoria
Key Responsibilities: In this role, you’ll wear many hats, balancing strategic planning, business development, account management, and technical advisory duties.
Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with the GM of Sales and Marketing to contribute to overall company sales strategy and develop regional sales plans.
Create tailored account plans for key clients to align with business goals.
Achieve pre-defined sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide insightful market feedback to help shape sales and marketing initiatives.
Business Development: Build and nurture strong relationships across key industry channels, including architects, engineers, builders, and applicators.
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities with both existing and new customers.
Deliver compelling proposal presentations and specification documents.
Identify customer challenges and provide innovative, tailored solutions.
Account Management: Manage a portfolio of key customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Serve as a trusted advisor, managing multiple stakeholders across your accounts.
Drive profitable growth by developing relationships with specifiers, architects, engineers, and consultants.
Maintain customer data, update CRM, and follow up on client communications.
Marketing and Events: Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and presentations.
Support marketing initiatives and contribute to lead generation activities.
Technical Advisory and Quality:
Work closely with the technical team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer solutions.
Assist with technical training for customers as needed.
Warehouse and Stock Control: Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Provide market insights to support effective stock control and supply chain management.
Compliance and Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records, including pricing, activity reports, and compliance documentation.
Ensure CRM is used effectively to drive competitive advantage.
Adhere to all WH and S requirements and prepare detailed sales reports.
What You’ll Bring
We are seeking someone who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for the industry and relationship-building.
Essential Requirements: 5+ years’ experience in the building industry or trades.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to absorb detailed product knowledge and installation methodologies.
Proven experience in relationship-based sales channels.
Desirable: Experience in waterproofing or construction product sales.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Qualifications in architecture or construction are a plus.
