Driver Trainer to Heavy Rigid (Contract)

A reputable heavy vehicle training provider in Southeast Queensland is seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Trainer to join the team. This a full-time, part-time or casual contract basis role offers flexibility and the opportunity to train students exclusively in HR truck driving.

Position is servicing Logan City.

What you'll be doing

Delivering high?quality training to students learning to operate Heavy Rigid trucks

Conducting practical HR driving training to determine student competence

Providing clear, constructive feedback and coaching to support student development

Ensuring all training activities comply with TMR regulations and internal policies

Contributing to the ongoing improvement of HR training delivery methods

What we're looking for

Extensive experience operating Heavy Rigid vehicles with a strong safety record

Minimum 2-3 years of transport industry experience required

Hold a current industry Authority Driver Trainer Licence (Accreditation) or willing to obtain (Must)

Heavy Vehicle Driving industry work experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong knowledge of road rules, safe driving practices, and licensing requirements

Clean driving record is essential for this position

Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in challenging training situations

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
