We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team within a large, highly regulated organisation in the education sector. This is a 6-9 month fixed?term contract, with the possibility of extension.

Description

Prepare journals, maintain the general ledger, and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Produce accurate and timely month?end reporting and variance analysis

Support budgeting and forecasting across Commercial Services portfolios

Assist with asset?related accounting, compliance requirements, and add?value reporting

Provide financial insights to operational stakeholders

Work collaboratively across internal teams to ensure accurate information flow, consistent reporting and a strong service approach

Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement activities

Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

5-7 years' experience in a similar role

Ability to start as soon as possible

Strong technical accounting skills

Experience with management reporting and month?end processes

Confidence working autonomously and owning key processes

Ability to operate effectively in a structured, compliance?focused environment

Advantageous experience with MS Navision

Ability to quickly learn and work across upgraded systems

Desirable experience from university, government, or private sector environments
