My client is a leading Australian organisation undergoing a large-scale, group wide business transformation. They are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant into a critical role to help support the delivery of the group consolidation, reporting, reconciliation and financial close platforms as part of the wider program. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys working with large, complex datasets, improving processes and getting into the detail of reconciliations, consolidations and financial reporting integrity.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting month-end close, group consolidation and financial reporting processes

Performing and reviewing complex reconciliations across multiple entities and systems

Ensuring debits, credits and accounting processes are correctly reflected in new systems

Analysing and reconciling large volumes of financial data from multiple source systems

Investigating variances and ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial results

Supporting data migration, cleansing and mapping activities as part of system implementation

Working closely with finance teams to validate outputs and reconcile to legacy systems

Assisting in improving financial controls, processes and reporting accuracy

Supporting the implementation of new financial close, consolidation and reconciliation platforms

You will be CA / CPA qualified (or near completion) and have a strong background in financial accounting, group reporting or corporate finance with proven knowledge of reconciliations, consolidations with the ability to work with large, complex datasets across multiple systems. Experience in ERP / consolidation platforms such as SAP, Dynamics 365, Cognos, Hyperion etc will be highly regarded.

This is a 6 month contract to start with immediate effect.
