About the Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Engineering Technicians Mechanical (Boilermakers) within the Rolling Stock Maintenance Team.

Reporting to the NPOCRS Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will hold safety in the utmost regard, be highly motivated and proactive, have strong communication skills, and proven ability applicable to the position.

Your responsibilities will include:

An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development

Ensure conformance with the BHP Values, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations

Previous experience working within Rolling Stock Maintenance (highly desirable)

Flexible, team-orientated approach with proactive communications skills

A desire to achieve results through great team work, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-skilled team

Completing all required documentation, data entry and reports

Initiating and/ or participating in continuous improvement projects

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

Boilermaker/Heavy Engineering trade certification (essential), with ‘Coded Welding’ sign-off (highly desirable)

An understanding of BHP computer systems, 1SAP, Loc8, Outlook and Microsoft Office (desirable)

Good understanding of the BHP Operating System (BOS)

Highly motivated and proactive approach to problem solving

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

This role will be offered on a 7D7X roster for Residential or FIFO candidates.
