About AACHWA
The Aboriginal Art Centre Hub of Western Australia (AACHWA) advocates on behalf of its member art centres located in regional and remote Western Australia. AACHWA delivers professional development programs for managers, boards, and artists; provides recruitment advice and services; and acts as an advocate to, and central point of contact for, Regional, State and Federal funding bodies. Our work is guided by the values of Respect, Integrity, Leadership, Imagination and Collaboration.
About the role
AACHWA is seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to lead the next phase of Make it Real — a major social impact initiative now entering its seventh year. You will work closely with the CEO, Finance Manager and project team, with the potential to recruit additional staff as the project evolves.
This is a hands?on management role requiring confidence, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to navigate complex, multi?stakeholder environments. The ideal candidate will bring experience in project management, product development, supply chain or merchandising, and a passion for supporting Aboriginal artists and art centres.

Managing project budgets, funding agreements, acquittals and reporting requirements across State, Federal and philanthropic funders

Identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies and driving continuous improvement
Managing consultants, contractors and internal project staff, including performance oversight
Leading stakeholder engagement with art centres, government, sector partners and community organisations
Advocating for the protection of Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property and challenging the exploitation of First Nations artists
Ensuring accurate documentation, filing, archiving and compliance with organisational systems
Contributing to AACHWA’s annual report and organisational publications
Travelling to regional and remote art centres as required
