Clifford Hill is seeking an experience employee to join our team with Race Horse and Equestrian Horse Training as Training Assistant.
We are seeking a Full Time Employee employee that is located close to the facilties at Mt Moriac, Victoria.
Training Assistant – Able to Educate young horses race horses and equestrian horses from first handling on the ground to being ridden.
The successful candicate with oversea Stablehands and be able to manage and educate a team of horses reporting to the business owner/trainer.
The salary will be related to your experience and knowledge in the rang of 65,000 - 80,000 pa.
Essential Skills
All applicates must have some form of formal training and qualifications in Racing or Equine with 3 years of full time experience.
All applicatants must be be able to prove they are a reliable worker with excellent Horsemanship and Horse Management skills.
Drivers licence is required and capabilty to operate manual transmission is essential as work vechiles and machinery are all manual.
Skills required are:
Knowledge and experience of horse training for the thoroughbred racing industy including riding at speed.
Knowledge and experience in the Equestrian Olmpic displines of Eventing, Showjumpoing or Dressage. Competing at 1*, 110cm or Novice.
The ability to ride and educate 10 horses per day
Knowledge and abilty to proform Horse safe practises
Experience of training staff in safe horse handling and basic horse ground work education
Horse health and management knowledge and experience
Recommend but not Essential
MR truck license is favoritable as well as tractor operating experience.
Breeding knowledge and experiance
Previous track work experience
Desirable Qualifications
Dipola of Equine Studies
Certificate III in Racing
